Pop Pop- Balsa Popper Flies

I've been on a serious balsa kick.  These things are super fun to tie and even more fun to fish.  I have been experimenting with all kinds of options and finishes.

This one is purple nail polish I stole from my fiance.
This frog is tied on a Gama worm hook- super weedless.
You can really drag these through some junk, gotta let the fish really take it to get a good hookset though.
Classic colors.
First attempt.

Most of my poppers are just balsa, spray paint and sharpy artwork.  I even got out the dremel tool and did some serious cupping.  Be careful with balsa, the dust you inhale as you sand it seems to be highly addictive.
